About The CD & How To Use It
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stress due to pressure from the workplace, environment, personal relationships and modern lifestyle in general affects both the body and mind. This can in turn influence the auto-immune system and health as well as our daily mood, sometimes contributing to negativity or even depression. More goes on in the subconscious than we are ordinarily aware of. This will include sleep, dreams, memories, the emergence of feelings, habits and all the internal functioning of the body such as heartbeat, respiration, digestion etc. These processes are affected by external stress or pressure and although a reasonable amount of this can be productive if it is prolonged or ongoing the results may show in disturbed sleep, digestive problems - (IBS), irritability and psycho-somatic pain. The origins or causes of stress factors cannot always be removed but the negative effects can be greatly relieved by systematic, deep relaxation.

This Relaxation CD can be used in three ways:

A To offset and deal with stress.
B To improve sleep.
C To enhance personal performance in everyday life.

For relief from stress it is recommended that the follow suggestions are followed. To improve sleep play the CD every night when your head touches the pillow. To improve any area of your life play the CD as suggested and use the period of silence to give yourself positive suggestions for change. Make sure these suggestions do not contain any negatives. If you want to improve memory you must say, “My memory is getting better and better each day”. Do not say, “ I don’t want a bad memory. “

To gain the maximum benefit from this relaxation exercise it is advisable to play the CD every day. Choose a time when you know you will not be disturbed and do not feel you have to hurry. The best time would be early evening after work or when you go to bed if you wish to improve your sleep.
Lay on your back on the floor with your arms resting alongside your body.
Place a flat cushion to rest your head on if you wish. If you have back problems sit in a comfortable chair.
Follow each word on the tape and do no let your mind wander. The process of going into relaxation should be followed by at least ten minutes of silence and without moving or being involved in thinking. In time, and with patience, you can reach better and better results.
